Compulsion promises a bit more than what it can deliver, but what it delivers is forgivably fun to watch. It might be a bit gross, a bit paint-by-numbers, and a bit predictable, but watching a douchebag be hacked to death with a samurai sword by night while beautiful people make love by the Mediterranean sea is hardly something you’ll have to drag your feet to sit through.

Heaven of Horror
As a genre fan, I am disappointed. And as a gay girl, I feel downright offended that this supposedly represents “my people” in any way. This is a disturbingly gross example of the male gaze being the only recognized vision.
