PopCult Reviews

Tron ends up being a really spectacular visual effect presentation and experimental film in one. You won’t find yourself developing strong emotional ties to anyone here, but it’s a fun ride, an excellent way to pass an hour and a half and be entertained.

“alan bradley is gay and so is tron and they’re both in love with kevin flynn” i say into the microphone, the crowd boos me. “no! she’s right” a voice yells, the crowd falling silent. *gasp* it’s bruce boxleitner himself.

IMDb

"Tron took it to the next logical step: creating whole CGI rendered scenes ... only computer geeks could get the whole picture."

Rotten Tomatoes

Is it perfect? No. Is it terrible? Absolutely not. Was it a bad film? I wouldn't say that, at least. I think it's a fun science fiction movie that takes you inside the world of the gaming grid.
